Death to the Fax Machine

In the age of the world-wide web, I find myself constantly questioning the existence of fax machines.  Why oh why are people still using these archaic devices?  We constantly deal with vendors who tell us that we “must” fax forms over to them, instead of simply scanning in and emailing.  Scanners these days are both portable and affordable, so why not just scan it in?  Then you have a digital copy that you can save and store.  Heck, you may not even need to print at all! If you fill out a form from your computer, then you can just save that bad boy and email it as an attachment.  Talk about going green!  All you need is an internet connection to share files seamlessly on the web.

So, I am on a mission, and the mission is this: To outlaw all fax machines by 2010.  Who’s with me?

There are a number of organizations (such as healthcare, legal, etc) that still require fax delivery of information, due to security issues with email. Fax server software, such as Zetafax, allows you to rid yourself of the fax machine in your office, but still allow communication via fax when you need to. Find out more at www.equisys.com/zetafax.

The latest trend in faxing today is internet fax that does not require a dedicated phone line and do not necessarily require a fax machine. Making the service very cost effective compared to traditional faxing technique.
